Micellar Oil: The answer to your skin care prayers?
Companies are forever reinventing ways to make your life a little easier. When micellar water came on to the scene people gladly ditched the face wipes for this gentler alternative. When I spotted Garnier's Oil-Infused Micellar Water in my supermarket I just had to give it a whirl and share my first impressions.
This is the first Micellar Oil I've seen before but I'm a huge fan of using oils to cleanse with. I was so bummed when I ran out of my favourite Oil Cleanser from L'oreal only to discover it had disappeared from our shops!
What is a Micellar Oil you ask? Well it's a combination of the glorious cleansing properties of a Micellar Water and the clever way oil breaks down other oils and long-wearing products. This means a Micellar water will get in deep to your pores and degunk them as well as melting off waterproof mascara and matte lip creams with zero effort. It will also soften and smooth out your skin too.
I Purchased this in my local Migros for 7.50CHF or if you're in the UK/Ireland, you can get it in Boots for £5.99. Now, if you don't have the loose change for this Garnier Micellar Oil you can always splash the cash on this Micellar Oil from Decléor Paris.
It's really simple to use: give'er a good shake and drizzle onto a cotton pad. It slid over my skin taking my makeup with it with zero tugging or snagging. What I did discover is of course the oil will separate on a cotton pad that you're not using. I learned this the hard way as I nearly ripped my eye out. Don't believe me? All in all, It took me about 5 minutes to remove my full face of makeup including hot pink lips. It also smelled incredible! The Garnier Micellar Oil totally removed all of my makeup and left my skin feeling so soft and nourished rather than tight and dry like some other cleansers. You do feel a little oily and icky but it quickly dries down.
I really liked this Micellar Oil! It was perfect for my dry, sensitive skin which even gets a little temperamental when I use the classic pink bottle from Garnier. Soz, face! I did get it in my eyes and I'm not gonna lie, it was purely by accident and not for testing purposes. It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would! It was certainly the most pleasant cleanser I've ever got in my eyes by mistake! After using the Micellar Oil my skin was clear and calm; no redness, no tightness, no irritation. I will definitely be picking this up again!
Have you tried out the Garnier Micellar Oil yet? Tell me what you think! I'm still such a huge fan of oil cleansers that I was overjoyed to find it! I also hope you enjoyed the brief video too. After a much needed break I am back, doing what I do best: writing BS on the internet! I'm kidding. But it's nice to be back blogging again! Anyway, what do you think of Micellar Oils?
