Review: L'Oréal Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara
My sister and I are huge Anime fans, particularly those from Studio Ghibli (which explains the inspiration behind my tattoo). You can't imagine the excitement we were feeling when I heard about L'Oréal's volumising mascara promising "mega volume from top to bottom lashes" to give you wide eyes with fluffy full lashes.
The packaging is absolutely adorable! Its so girly and cute. I mean who doesn't want a cute, little, pink shiny mascara tube in their makeup purse? One side of the tube is flat so when you're holding it in your hand it fits comfortably.
The brush is on this moveable arm which bends to allows maximum lash coverage. The cone shaped brush means you can still build volume but you can still reach your bottom lashes and little pesky ones in the inner corner. This means those days of swapping between formulas and brushes are over, this is your go-to gal!
Now as for the formula, I'll admit that once I'd opened it I was doubtful because the brush looked pretty gloopy. I HATE clumpy-looking Ganguro lashes, I prefer long, fluttery lashes so normally I steer clear of volumising mascaras. However, I gave this a go while filming a tutorial (which you can see here.) The results were my long, fluttery lashes but thick and full looking.
After wearing it AAAALLL day my lashes didn't feel crunchy or stiff, but rather soft and full. It didn't flake away at all or smudge too much (even when I cried laughing at cat videos) and it held the curl in my lashes nicely too.
So I got this mascara in Boots for €4.50. It was on special introductory offer so grab yours now and start perfecting your manga doll look. You can find out more on L'Oréal's website here.
Have You given Miss Manga a go? Please tell me what you thought! I also heard that Barry M Showgirl is supposed to be pretty similar but I'm yet to try it!
