It takes tremendous skill to pack 2 weeks into a cabin suitcase. Especially when you run a blog like I do so there's tripods and all that crap! I will be honest here, I was incredibly lazy packing. But I also packed my boyfriend's bits 'n' bobs in my cute case too. So High Five for fitting 2 people into a cabin case for 2 weeks!
Before I go away anywhere I always check the weather forecast and my itinerary of things to do. Now, growing up in Ireland I am well used to the underwhelming and frankly disappointing weather predictions for a lovely drizzly July. Cue cozy fires and pots of stew; herd te bate! (a.k.a "Hard to beat!" an actual accent, not actual Irish)
I wore a pair of slim fit, dark rinse jeans, rolled up over the ankles of my Converse. I also wore my cute little sunflowerly striped jumper. In my case I had my wollie, dark grey cable knit jumper and 2 soft t-shirts. I also had 2 camisoles which I like to layer up under clothes. Oh! Besides the ole usual things like undies and stocaí (socks), I always bring my little bandage pencil skirt. This is super handy for nights out or for a more polished day look. Score!
In terms of tech; sadly, an esential lifeline for most of us, I have a few bits and pieces. I had to bring my old, dead laptop home to lay to rest but I also had my Tablet with my bluetooth keyboard. A good set of headphones and my little portable tripod are a must! It has an attachment that your phone slots into which is great! There's also my Blogger's Planner.
Thankfully, my makeup is pretty versatile. I also make sure to pop my liquid foundation in with my clear liquids bag to breeze. My essentials are a bright red and a nude lip, a highlighting concealer, liquid liner, cream blush and shadow, mascara and powder. Oh and something to keep my brows neat! Loving this groomer from L'oréal. You can read some more of my makeup packing tips in this article here.
Your probably thinking this is an impeccably light bag. I did have my leather shoulder satchel which is great for my passport and all that jazz. But I have a few items of clothing at my mums's, as well as some makeupy things so it's all good! If you are coming to Ireland feel free to ask some questions on what to bring or where to visit or what to eat, I'll happily share with all our secrets. Have you any packing tips you'd like to share?
