June already. I can't believe hownfast this year is flying in and how much my little blog is growing, it makes me so happy to see! It's the start of the month and I like to revitist my goals and plans and dreams for the month (and years) ahead.
As I'm sure I've stressed enough in previous posts, you cannot mistake the importance of making sure your okay, that your life has meaning and structure. This month I think I'd like really hone in on me and myself and work on that.
1. Cut out the negativity
I don't mean like "as of today I am not putting up with anything bad. At all. Ever." Well actually, kind of. But more what I mean is people and situations float in and out of your life, some push you up and ahead while others pull you down. Having these run-ins are inevitable but you just need to learn how to take the good with the bad and vise versa. For example, a person complaining of their life situation is hoping you'll join in on the I hate my life crisis to make them think their situation isn't that bad. Just simply sympathize (rather than empathize) and quietly, to yourself, be thankful for all you have going for you; your health, your sense of humour, your relationships etc. So I am really going to make the effort to learn and understand and cope with negativity in my life.
2. Try something new
Okay so right now everything seems new; new language, new friends, new house, new family. This can all feel a little daunting and overwhelming sometimes and that is totally cool. But a good way to express your feelings be it rage or excitement is in fact through a new hobby, something you have to try and fail at a few times before you get the hang of it. Then, when your body and mind is exhausted you won't feel sad or upset or scared. Instead you may have made some new friends or memories and had a good laugh! It's a great time of year to try something new.
3. keep of top of thing
With the weather so good and the food so fresh and the water so warm, I want to be out enjoying it instead of catching up on housework or blog work! If I stick to my little to do list each day; tend to my blog, my house and my French then I can easily go off and do anything I want to do that day! I remember in school, I would leave essays and homework until the last weekend before it was due so I could watch TV shows after school. I'd miss out on the fun with my friends because I didn't get all my work done when I could! So I'm just going to keep on top of things and enjoy every minute of my time!
Feel free to share with me your goals and plans for the month ahead! Maybe you just want to make it through your exams (which by the way, Good Luck!) Or you just want to relax and enjoy your free time. What ever it is your planning to do, just make sure to utilize your moments!
