Fruity Overnight Oats: the best breakfast recipe ever.

A healthy breakfast; something that is quite unheard of in many houses! You want something that's quick and easy to eat when your dashing off, you will even compromise on taste  and goodness .

Compromise no more, my good friend! I have just the thing for you. I talked about this recipe while teatoxing and on my Facebook but I can't seem to find it and people have been asking after it so here it is!

Overnight oats are the best because you make them up the night before and then they are perfect the following morning ready for you to scoff as you dash out. I make up 3 jars of it on a Sunday night and thats be good to go until Wednesday where I make up su'more.

BLUEBERRY OVERNIGHT OATS: (1 serving)

Prep Time: 3 servings made in 5 mins, the night before

  • 1/3 cup uncooked oats
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (or alternative i.e. almond milk)
  • 1/2 cup whole, natural yoghurt
  • 1 TBSP honey
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • *1 TBSP chia seeds optional for added protein*
  1. Put it all in a bowl, lunch box, jar etc and give it a good stir.
  2. Leave it in the fridge overnight (or for at least 3 hours)
  3. Enjoy!

You can make upto 3 days breakfasts in advance over the weekend and they keep really nicely in the fridge! I literally used a cup I drink tea from! Just make sure you use the same cup for all ingredients.

Aaall stirred up!

Aaall stirred up!

If you've got time in the morning then pop it in a bowl and wolf it down, if not just grab a spoon and eat it on the way or at your destination. Besides the kitchen table, I've had mine in my bed, in the car, on a train and even the back of a lecture theatre! Hey minds outta the gutter, I'm talking about my Overnight Oats experiences .

Oh! Yes, the Nutritional Info! These are SOOO good for you, a great calorie alternative full of good carbs and protein to fuel you all morning.
