Review: L'oréal Colour Riche in "Julianne's Nude"
Your search is over. the Perfect Nude Lip is here. Kylie Jenner would be proud. You've heard me singing about this line of lippy's before for the perfect matte, velvety Red Lip but I recently picked up this one and mmmm-hmmmm is this one sweet!
You will probably have seen these lipsticks before, a collection of nudes and reds suited to every skin tone, chosen and tailored by the L'oreal Paris Ambassadors (The likes of Eva Longoria, Blake Lively and Julianne Moore). The shade I picked up was by Julianne Moore "Barely Peach".
This colour is described as "sensual and delicate to the extreme", perfect for ladies of a pale complexion and "endows them with elegance and sophistication." Sounds good to me!
This isn't like the Pure Reds formula. I found this to be a lot silkier, so there is no matte finish. I would describe the colour as warm, peach-pink shade that is very natural and not bright or overpowering.
The colour itself is quite sheer. But that's what makes it the perfect nude lipstick. You can wear it with or without a lip liner, blotted, powdered or glossed. It's very much like your lips, but better.
Thanks to the silky, sheer formula it doesn't cling to dry spots or wear off to a funny little line around your mouth. I also found that even without a lip liner the colour didn't bleed or smudge around the edges. It does have a little glitter in it but I mean tiny tiny tiny tiny little flecks that are only noticeable if you look very closely at the bullet. You don't see it when it's applied because it's light reflecting.
It's quite hard to take a mouth-specific selfie so I do apologize for the crappy-ness of it. But you can see how the colour is very complementary to the skin, the formula is sheer and not overpowering and all and all looks really soft and natural and very pretty.
Look at me, all proud with my purchase! haha! As you can see, the colour does come out true to the bullet. I am wearing this with a Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Liner in #132 "Sweet Pink" which matches both the lippy and my lip colour very well. Trés Bien!
I love this lipstick, I think it will be my new S/S nude, keeping my Kate Moss 08 for A/W. If you're quite fair, like me, you should definitely pick it up! As for anyone of any skin tone You should definitely try this range of nude lipsticks as the colours and formula is fantastic. If you do try it please to let me know in the comments below!
P.S. Do ya like my photos?! I was experimenting with a little At Home Photo Booth type job! Very professional looking, don't you think?
