Magintone Lucid Cleansing Brush Review
Cleansing brushes. We've all heard of them but we've never really bought into the whole hype since the Clarisonic one. Pricey and a little daunting, do you really need an electric tooth brush for your skin?
The lovely team at Magintone sent me the adorable mint (they call it aqua) green cleansing brush from their fashion range 'Lucid' to take for a spin. Now the Magintone brushes has got around; featured in the likes of Vogue and Marie Claire, they even have Pixie Lott (who is such a huge fan) endorsing her own pretty pink one which you can get here.
The Lucid is this slim, pretty nifty handheld oversized toothbrush you wash your face with. When I first unboxed it I really didn't think it would be comfortable for ole man-hands here to use as it is quite petit. But I was pleasantly surprised! The little brush is very soft and plush to touch but people with very sensitive skin may find it a little too scratchy when it gets going but you can get different brush heads here. It also has a little clip-on cap to protect the bristles, FYI.
7 Days To... The Results
The Magintone Lucid promises that after 7 days of use you will have softer, clearer, brighter skin and by gosh they weren't kidding! (Did I really just say gosh?!) I have amazing skin anyway. It's low maintenance, it's not problematic and I have a nice, even skin tone so I really doubted that I would see a difference. As amazing and all as my skin is, I still get a spot or two, a wee flakey patch here or there and of course those damn millia (little white bumps that look like spots but they're not?!).
After the first 2 or three uses my skin looked amazing-er than before! Plump and healthy, my skin looked smooth and felt so soft. I even cut down on the amount of products that I used after my cleansing! Fine lines on my forhead (yes, being 20 is starting to show!) have reduced next to nothing. They were dehydration more than aging, incase your wondering! My foundation and makeup apply so smoothly as if I've applied them over a primer and they last better too because they don't melt into the dry patches. A big thing I noticed is my eyebrows. Every time I do my brows I get ingrown hairs as they grow back and its a nightmare. Well, NOT NO MORE!
- My pores appear smaller
- Blackheads have disapeared
- Dry patches have been wizzed away
- My skin drinks up my products
- No more tight, gross feeling when I wake up
- Plumper, more youthful looking skin
- Ha healthier, more even flush on my cheeks, no more redness
I could go on and on and on but you'd get so sick of hearing my wonderful results you'd try to sabotage my Magnitone! (Which I think I'll keep next to my bed from now on........)
It has a handy magnetic, snap-on charger too so the Magintone is 101% waterproof. This means you can use it in the bath of the shower without wearing rubber soled shoes. Hazzah! Aaaaand a full charge can last about 2 weeks so even the laziest of people don't have to charge them.
Where can I get one of these Tools Of The Gods?!
Green ain't your colour? Don't worry! There's a Sunny Yellow, Hot Pink and a Dazzling Blue too. For a Magintone Lucid you'll cough up only £69.99 compared to the Clarisonic @ £179 or the Rio Deep Cleanser @ £149.99. I honestly think everyone should try one, even my boyf sneaks a few goes with it (as a and he loves it, of course!). If you have a face brush tell me what you think? What's your tips to use it? I think washing my face at the end of a long day is the best thing and now its even better with my Magintone Lucid!
