Blank Canvas Cosmetics Launch
I was so lucky to be at the launch of a Blank Canvas Cosmetics Display in Carndonagh. Blank Canvas is an online cosmetics brand set up by the lovely Úna, offering amazing brushes and palettes so affordable you could actually pick up several treats on your paycheck! (You know what I mean, my Beauty Fanatics) But they are finally gracing the stores of their home country with beautiful Displays of their entire range on offer. (in select stores only)
Online, they ship all over Europe with zero customs charges and they ship to countries outside of Europe too, you've just got to check your country's rates. We all know the excitement of going up to a makeup counter and swatching until our hearts are content. But you know what is really cool about their display? You can actually touch the brushes and feel how they move. I am a huge believer in trying a brush before you buy it. You can feel how soft the bristles are, see how they move when you sweep them and then judge them based on what you want them to do.
The Pharmacy was decorated with very classy black and white Blank Canvas balloons with a Director’s Chair and a Makeup Station set up next to their Display.
I honestly was expecting to sort of turn up, listen to a bit about the company and then be left to our own devices, picking what we wanted to purchase. Yeah I was wrong, It was so much more than that, and there was such a huge turn out! It was warm, friendly and inviting to everyone from the utmost beauty novices to some of us more experienced Fanatics.
There was handouts explaining every single brush and what you used them for. How great was that? There was even the opportunity to win some products in a raffle (I didn't win though, #sadface).
Two local Makeup Artists from Buncrana were on hand to give two demonstrations. I was really excited for this actually! I love to see what sort of talent is around since a lot of people often overlook individual Makeup Artists and go straight to the big studios. Charlene Green and Lisa Dillon both completed 2 beautiful looks using Eye and Contour Palettes from Blank Canvas alongside their incredible brushes.
It was amazing to see how the products apply and how pigmented the powders were. The two very talented Artists also answered any questions and offered tips and techniques to the audience.
I was so excited to go and take a look at the brushes. It was a great opportunity for me to top up my Wish List, he he!
All of the brushes were displayed really clearly and in numerical order so its super easy to see them all. With numbers on the boxes and brushes and the little sample brush heads placed at the top of the counter, you can easily pick out your dream match!
You're going to be hearing more great things from Blank Canvas Cosmetics in the near future with some product reviews.
I really enjoyed my day down in Carndonagh at the launch. It was such a pleasure to meet the two lovely Make Up Artists Lisa and Charlene. It was also such an honour to meet Úna Tynan who has put her heart and soul into this company and you can really see her hard work paying off!
